Church Cleaning
First of all, thank you to all those who have regularly cleaned the church over the last year, particularly to Daphne Bevan, who has organised the rota for many years and gently encouraged the church dusters, and also to John Jackson who has kept the brass polished and shining. Both of them are now retiring from their roles for a well-earned rest.
I hope to recruit enough people to the rota so that each person, working in a team of three, only has to give approximately two hours (usually less), once or twice a year, at a time to suit them. The church has been well cared for over the years and visitors to the church often comment on this in the visitors book. With your help this can be continued. Please give me a ring if you would be prepared to help dust and polish the church or to take over brass rubbing.

October 21st Water is Precious
Benefice Bible Study
We shall have an open meeting for anyone already attending Bible Study groups in the benefice, and anyone interested in joining or in knowing more about them on Wednesday, 9th October 8-9.30pm at the Rectory Longparish. Nona and Martin will both be there as we plan our autumn programme of groups.
Way Forward for Longparish Church and village.
Our Way Forward campaign was launched at our Harvest service in September and six folders are now circulating around the village outlining our plans for the church and village, and we are inviting responses. These should have been circulated by October 15th and the results analysed, so that we can include an insert in the November Hill & Valley for all Longparish households.
We shall have a Thanksgiving Service, linking in with All Saintstide
on Sunday, November 3rd at 9.30am, when we shall be joined by the Ven.
John Guille, Archdeacon of Winchester, and Mr Gordon Randall, Diocesan
Resources Adviser. If you would like to see a folder and dont appear
to be included, please phone me and I will happily arrange it.
