Dear Readers,
As a school we decided to sponsor Water Aid as our charity this year. So far we have raised the phenomenal amount of £349 in just two events.
Last term we held a Count Your Blessings service at Hurstbourne Priors Church when all the pupils brought money they had raised over three weeks by paying when they used water in their house, for example, flushing the toilet cost 2p. The other event was a mufti day at school when everyone dressed up as something to do with water and paid £1. On the same day we held a tombola in our class. It took nearly all morning to rip up the tickets! We are planning more events this term and will let you know about these through this magazine.
Yours sincerely Naomi and Edmund
The main events this term have been a Science and Technology Week when the whole school visited Intech near Winchester for hands-on experience, and a Childrens Concert in Winchester Guildhall.
