Our website is the Hampshire Website of the Year for town and parish councils. Congratulations to all concerned.
The council had no objection to the following proposals
• Change of use to independent dwelling unit – The Coach house at The Croft
• Erection of timber barn – Testwood Trout Farm, This was a revised application with the building better sited
• Alterations to stable building and erection of outbuilding – Mill house. This includes a new thatched building where the council asked for a condition that the thatch be in straw not reed in accordance with the Village Design Statement
• Demolition of existing garaging and erection of three bay garage/domestic workshop – Forest View, Harewood Industrial Estate,
• Demolition of existing bungalow and erection of house and double garage/store (amended scheme) and formation of new access and alterations to residential curtilage – Red ~Roofs, B3400
• Installation of wood burning stove and alterations to existing chimney – Little Newton
The council decided to continue to pay for a copy of Hill & Valley to go to each household in the parish and was delighted to hear the good news that the advertising is doing well so the cost to the council is going down. A lot of people work hard to make the magazine such a success. Thanks very much to you all and congratulations on 60 issues.

The council was very concerned to hear a proposal from TVBC to reduce wheelie bin collections to once a fortnight. Imagine what a bin with a fortnight's worth of nappies in it will smell like in the summer. The Clerk was instructed to write to TVBC expressing the council's concern in the strongest terms.

The next Council meeting is on Monday 13 December at 7.30pm in the Village Hall committee room. We have invited WPC Fiona Taylor, our new community police officer to the meeting to meet the council and explain her role. Meetings are public and all parishioners are welcome to come and can speak.

We enjoyed watching the demolition of the old classrooms and during November it has been very exciting to see all the different machines at work.
From 8-12th November we held an Arts Week. Children spent three days working with different media and experimenting with colour. The week ended with the children finding out about the life and works of Picasso, Roger Deane, Wassily Kadinsky and LS Lowry and having the opportunity to work in the style of these artists.

Wine tasting raised £900 for the Project
Those who attended the wine tasting hosted by Mr & Mrs Hanbury-Bateman at Forton House on October had a very pleasant evening. The tasting was professionally run by Nick Sweet, who also auctioned fine wines. Excellent food was provided to complement the wines by Helen Mehaffey, Pat Taylor, Lois Jones and Clare ffolkes.
