Thurs
24 February 2004
There will be a welcome event for new villagers at 8pm on Thursday 24 February in the Village Hall. This is a joint initiative between the Parish Council and St Nicholas Church.
Please do come if you moved to Longparish in the last couple of years. The Parish Council will fund drinks and nibbles and it will give you an opportunity to find out more about the village and meet people who lead village clubs and organisations.

Thank you very much to everyone who helped at the November clean up day. The weather was wet and very cold but we managed to clear the stream of weed and leaves. The nettles on the bank and overhanging tree branches were also cut back.
I'd like to thank Purbeck who kindly donated a skip which made clearing up the debris much easier and quicker.
Unfortunately, as the weather was so wet, the skate ramp could not be painted. However, Jeremy Barber and his team cleaned the skate ramp and repaired the broken rails. We have deferred the painting until the Spring clean up day and hope the weather will be better then. Any volunteers willing to help with the painting in the Spring please get in touch.
I'd like to thank Ricky Bourne and his team of litter pickers who have done such a good job keeping the roads clear of litter throughout the year.
Many thanks to the Cricketers who provided excellent sandwiches and chips at lunch time and also a warming fire to sit by.
Our next clean up day will be in the Spring and I look forward to seeing old and new volunteers then. Thank you once again to everyone who helps keep Longparish a pleasant place to live in.

Thursdays 2.15 - 2.45pm.
Storytime happens every Thursday afternoon at Andover Library. Bring your playgroup-age child for a half-hour of stories and rhymes from 2.15pm. Younger children are welcome too- don't worry if they don't want to stay for the whole session: we do understand. The children's area has its own toilet and changing mat.
