Welcome glorious June! After the soggy and cold first month of the "summer" season, it was a joy to play under brilliant blue skies and in the warm.

While not all results have gone in our favour so far, individual and team performances have markedly improved and augur well for the rest of the season.

Again a mention of the U11 boys, who have started June with two convincing wins against Compton and Chandlers Ford. In the second match topping the "ton" for the first time in an 11-a-side format.

Winners in the May LCC 100 Club Draw were

1st £35 no.23 R.Channon
2nd £15 no.140 A.Bagley
3rd £15 no.188 Mrs J.Driver

New licensees at The Plough

Paul and Sarah Bingham, who recently took over The Plough, come with a great record of success. While they were at The Star Inn at East Tytherley they received awards for Hampshire Restaurant of the Year, Hampshire Pub of the Year and national Pub/Restaurant of the Year. They also held 2 AA rosettes for six and a half years. Their aim is to provide the same high quality of food at The Plough.

They are currently offering a taster menu of 2 courses for £10 at lunch and dinner on from Monday to Thursday inclusive and a warm welcome to all.

Thanks to the Parish Council

Many thanks to the Parish Council for resurfacing the paths in the cemetery. I can now easily visit the cemetery in my wheel chair and it is a pleasure to see it so well-kept.
