LATEST NEWS at Saturday 31 March

Kidz Zone Youth Club is going Ice Skating on Weds 4 April at Bracknell Ice Rink.  There are 3 places left.  If anyone else would like to go, please call Cheryl on 01264 720581, or Andrea on 01264 720347, by 3 April. 

Cost is £5 for Entry and hire of Skates, the minibus transport is subsidised by Longparish Community Association.  We will leave the Village Hall car park at 5.45 p.m. and return at 9.30 p.m.

Due to this trip there will be no youth club in the Hall on 4 April.  The next Club night at the Village Hall is 18 April.

WHAT’S THE FORM?

The Club had its first meeting on Weds 14 June 2006, at the Longparish Village Hall, and has fortnightly since then, clocking up six months in December 2006. Around 15-18 Members and guests attend each Club Night.  Club activities include playing: dodge ball, table tennis, dance mats, darts, hanging out with friends at the Tuck Shop, badminton, rounders, new age kurling, table football and pool and karaoke.

Ideas for Kidz Zone Club activities are generated by the Members.  Members voted to give their club a name – Harriet Raynsford’s suggestion got the most votes – so, Kidz Zone it is.  Phil Barber kindly designed the logo for the club and the members chose the design above.  Thanks to Phil for his help.

TRIPS TO OUT-OF-VILLAGE ACTIVITIES

There have been trips to ten-pin bowling at Lakeside Superbowl at Newbury and to Quasar and Bowling at Southampton.  Both were greatly enjoyed by Members.

Further trips are planned about once a quarter to do activities suggested by club Members.

WHAT DOES KIDS ZONE MEMBERSHIP GIVE?

A great night out locally every Wednesday-fortnight where you can hang out with friends - sit and chill or get involved in group games.

The initial membership fee of £1 buys you membership of Kidz Zone Club.  It also includes membership of the Longparish Community Association, giving discounts on other village activities.

Entrance at each Club night is just £1.

WHO’S BEHIND THE CLUB?

The Kidz Zone Youth Club is run by a group of adult volunteer Leaders as part of the Longparish Community Association.  A group of Kidz Zone Members have volunteered to form a Youth Council to represent club Members, to give Members’ views on what they’d like from their Club.  They are Richard Lewis, Will House, Harriet Raynsford and Lucy Jones, along with Hannah Nicholson, Emma Lewis and Lauren Mancini.
