It was a lovely sunny morning for the June race but where was everyone? We only had four runners. Everyone tried extra hard because the small field meant all the runners had a good chance of winning. Sandra led from start to finish and knocked 54 seconds of her target time to take the gold cup. She was hotly pursued by Jeremy who finished three seconds behind her to win the mug.
Jack presents the cup to Sandra.
Thanks go to Jack and Pete for officiating, David for the signs, Maggie for catering and the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.
We have measured the course using one of those wheels on a stick and we hope to juggle to start and finish to make the race an exact 5K next time.
