03/46 VILLAGE DESIGN STATEMENT

Mrs Darrah reported that there was still a problem with the map; she agreed to approach the OS for a bespoke quotation. The Council gave Mrs Darrah a ‘free hand’ to decide the matter within the agreed financial constraints. ACTION MJD

The design for the front cover was agreed unanimously.

03/47 FINANCE

Finance Summary – Deferred to next meeting.

Skate Ramp Insurance – Mr Barber reported that a quotation for insurance of the skate ramp had been received from Cornhill Insurance. It was

PROPOSED Mr Barber; SECONDED Mr Johnson and AGREED UNANIMOUSLY that the quotation for skate ramp insurance be accepted. ACTION Clerk

Hill & Valley Magazine – It was

PROPOSED Mrs Jolliffe; SECONDED Mrs Clear and AGREED UNANIMOUSLY that £500 be allocated as the Council’s contribution to the production of Hill & Valley magazine.

03/49 OPEN SPACES

Clean-Up Day - 29 March: Mrs Jolliffe reminded members of this important date, and asked for the event to be widely publicised for active assistance on the day. She has prepared posters for distribution around the village. Mrs Jolliffe asked particularly for the pathway to the school to be cleared.

03/50 ROADS & BRIDGES

Memorial cross: Mr Bourne presented photographs to the meeting, which demonstrated the damage which had been inflicted on the memorial cross near the school by ‘flood drainage’ tanker movements. Mr Barber will raise the matter with Southern Water. ACTION JB.

30 mph Speed Restriction Signs: Mrs Clear asked that consideration be given to extend coverage of the 30mph restriction area in the village. This Chairman asked for this item to be deferred to the next meeting for detailed discussion. ACTION Clerk
