HELD IN THE COMMITTEE ROOM OF THE VILLAGE HALL ON 19 APRIL 2004 at 21.45

04/52: MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING OF 8 MARCH 2004

The Minutes were approved unanimously, and were signed by the Chairman.

04/53: PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY

The Chairman reported that Mr Streatfeild has resigned, and that the Clerk has started the necessary procedures for his replacement.   Mr Barber asked that Mr Streateild's valuable contribution to the proceedings of the Parish Council be recorded, and expressed his sincere thanks to him for his work.

Following much discussion, it was PROPOSED Mr Johnson; SECONDED Mrs Jones and AGREED UNANIMOUSLY to OBJECT to this proposal on the grounds of over development of the site.

HCC – Variation of condition 1 of planning permission BDB50109 (extension of date by which landfill operation and site restoration shall be completed) at Apsley Farm Landfill Site, Hurstbourne Priors

TVN.00149/7 – Temporary siting of one single and one double classroom accommodations – Longparish C of E School, Longparish – The Trustees

PROPOSED Mr Barber; SECONDED Mr Johnson and AGREED UNANIMOUSLY - SUPPORT

House on Chalk Pit – Bee House – Hurstbourne Priors – This application had been forwarded to the Chairman from Hurstbourne Priors PC for comment.   It was agreed that Mr Barber and Mr Johnson write to Basingstoke and Dean BC expressing concern at the nature of this development.   ACTION JB/MJ

Owls Lodge – Noted that this application is to be considered by the NAPC on Thursday 22 April 2004.   Mr Barber will attend to put forward the Council's views.   ACTION JB

Clean-up Day: Help is needed for 24 th April (10.00 to 13.00). Cemetery hedge prunings to be cleared from lane, and also in car park. Mole damage to be inspected in football field.
