Dear Sir / Madam

TV634 – B3048 Forton, Longparish – Drainage Improvement Works

As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, this letter is to advise of upcoming drainage improvement works on the B3048 Forton, Longparish from at its junctions with the A303 eastbound and the westbound slip roads. See plan overleaf.

The works are programmed to start on 1st September 2020 and are expected to last for up to 14 weeks, during which time the road will be closed to vehicular traffic for the complete duration. A diversion route via the A303 will be in operation, and access to Harewood Forest Industrial Estate will be maintained.

The above timescales are weather dependent, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, works will be carried out ensuring safe working practices, and social distancing between site operatives and members of the public are maintained at all times. The appropriate traffic management will be in place to prevent any interaction

Thank you for your co-operation and, if you need more information regarding these works, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Yours faithfully,

Operation Resilience
