The Questionnaire – progress to date

Objectives of questionnaire

  • To collect data that will quantitatively validate the proposals in the Parish Plan & provide credibility opposite 3 rd parties as necessary
  • To confirm what the village wants to nurture & protect
  • To collect data & preferences to justify proposed changes & improvements
  • To ensure no household in the village can claim they were not consulted!

Questionnaire design

  • Information requirements have either already been noted or they will come out of initial workgroup discussions & feedback from other village groups (Church, Parish Council, Playgroup, School, Village Hall committee)
  • Fiona & Christine will draft the questionnaire within the parameters:
    • Maximum time to complete ( agreed 30 minutes )
    • Absolute clarity on why we need the data & what we will us it for
    • No leading questions
    • Data to be readily analysable

    • 20 volunteers ( need volunteers )
    • 15 households each
  • Volunteers will also help with completion if necessary

Data input & collation

  • David will design the format of the questionnaire for printing
  • Each returned questionnaire will be given a unique reference number (to avoid duplicate entry)
  • Volunteers will input data into password-protected, web-based form ( need volunteers on broadband )

Data analysis

  • David will design a database that mirrors the form and allow collation and analysis
  • Don't know yet how easy it will be to allow anyone on the SG to interrogate the data base – if it's too difficult, a couple of us (supported by David) will provide a full analysis for the workgroups to use.
