Although transport services to and from the village were cited by many as needing improvement, the number of people actually inconvenienced by having limited or no access to a car is much lower than we feared. Most people have found ways round the lack of public transport. Those without cars generally said they preferred flexible alternatives that allow them to complete journeys to their own timetable, rather than being limited by a bus timetable, but six respondents said that they experienced daily problems with getting to where they wanted to go. Getting to Whitchurch seems to be the biggest problem, although the timings of the bus services to Andover cause some difficulties. Parking problems in neighbouring train stations have increased.
The School Travel Plan is addressing separately transport to and from school.

"It's difficult for the young people to be independent due to lack of public transport."
"If I didn't have access to a car, then there's no real bus facility to get me into town"
