A specially designed annexe for the playgroup has been built as part of the Longparish School and Community Project. This £1.8 million project also provided two replacement classrooms, a music and drama room, a computer suite and a new kitchen for the school.   There is also a hall which is for community and school use and which the Playgroup uses regularly.

90% of the funding for the project came from the DfES and the remainder was raised by the local communities of Longparish and Hurstbourne Priors.   We are very grateful to the Local Network Fund who awarded us a grant of £6996 for fitting out and equipping our new home. 

Another £10,000 raised locally mainly by sponsorship of three London Marathon runners and a clay shoot enabled us to design and equip a fantastic outside play area.

It is all very exciting and is a dream come true after many years of planning and fund raising.

We opened in our new annexe after half term on 31st October 2005.
