Recycling and all that Stuff in LONGPARISH

What goes in the bins? Longparish Parish Council have the current Test Valley leaflets and brown and black bin stickers if yours have faded. There are also posters on the village noticeboards which clearly explain what can be put in the different bins and why.

News Test Valley Borough Council is working on new ways to communicate what can and can't be collected for recycling. For reasons why they don’t collect all plastic look on this page

Longparish is planning to work closely with Barton Stacey sharing ideas, events etc.

What you can do

The LCA and the Parish Council are looking for volunteers to set up a working party to look at what more Longparish can do to reduce our waste and recycle what we can.

Currently in Longparish, there are the following recycling collection points:
Village Hall car park - Textile bin (this supports the Little School too) and aluminium foil bin – Everything clean please.
Shop- batteries and good shoes,
The Cricketers - glass bottles and glass jars only. Please take away anything that is not glass and put in own bin.
There are other schemes and collectors in the village such as Little School, but this information needs to be listed in one place, another job for a working party!

            -  Let us know what schemes there are already in Longparish.

            -  Join the Zero Waste Longparish Facebook page.

            -  Support the Little School initiatives.

Please contact the Parish Council or the LCA if interested in joining a Zero Waste Longparish working party or if you need TVBC stickers or leaflets for your bins.
