St Nicholas’ Church

Christians have been meeting and worshipping at St Nicholas’ Church since the early 13th century and continue to do so today. The church is open every day for visitors, who are of course welcome to come in and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the church.

Safeguarding and child protection

St Nicholas Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish and Benefice Safeguarding Officers (BSO/PSOs). The Diocese of Winchester’s safeguarding pages https://www.winchester.anglican.org/safeguarding/ contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSOs.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the DSA safeguarding@winchester.anglican.org. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
