The Football Pitch at Longparish is situated behind the Plough Inn pub and is accessible via a footpath from the Village Hall overflow car park, opposite the village hall.
Owned by the Middleton Estate, it is managed by the Longparish Parish council who engage the grounds maintenance team of Test Valley BC to maintain the pitch, cut the grass and carry out the line marking.
The pitch is lined with 11-a-side and 9-a-side line markings’ and is considered a small 11v11 pitch. It is habitually used as the home pitch for Whitchurch United junior football teams, and they have preference over bookings – well, they are their goals!
The village also plays at least 2 village matches a year – with some legendary battles and spectacular goals which you can hear all about in the local pubs.
