Vacancy on the Parish Council

Longparish Parish Council is looking for two community minded individuals to join the Parish Council. As a Councillor, you will have your say on issues that affect the village and help us keep Longparish as the place we all know and love.

Longparish Parish Council are a friendly bunch with a passion for your parish and wanting to get things done. The Parish Council acts as a link between the village and the other bodies responsible for services to the community including Test Valley Borough Council and Hampshire County Council, as well as works on multiple projects for the betterment of the village.  Current projects the Longparish Parish Council are working on include:

  • Reviewing and commenting on planning applications in and around the parish

  • Maintenance works throughout the village including to trees, the football pitch, play park, noticeboards and bus shelters.

  • Establishing a resilience plan to support the village in times of emergency, including installing generators at the Plough Inn in case of village electric blackout.
